Shyanne and Joe had a Classic WillowBrooke Wedding to celebrate their love. Every detail was impeccable and well thought out. The warm colors embraced the Autumn season and the sharp accent of blacks and whites gave everything an elegant touch. This was my second time shooting out at WillowBrooke Barn and it is quickly becoming one of my top favorite venues in Billings!
Their Love Story
Joe and Shyanne both grew up in Billings, however they did not meet each other until the summer going into their sophomore year of college. Shyanne was going to school and playing volleyball at Dickinson State, and Joe was attending the University of Montana in Missoula.
Throughout sports, school, and work, the distance between Shy and Joe was often large…9 hours away to be exact. For two years, they spent every weekend taking turns traveling to see each other. And every mile was worth it because being away felt so empty. There were occasions where they could not see each other for a month or two, but the fire would never lose its flame. They knew where home really was, and that was next to each other.
The story of Shyanne and Joe and their connection to one another is like the story of peanut butter and jelly.. it just works somehow, and it works so perfectly. Two strangers brought together unexpectedly by the universe to make a beautiful, everlasting, and cherished love.
In November of 2020, Joe asked Shyanne to marry him while singing karaoke at a resort in Mexico. Joe preaches how terrible of a singer he is, yet he sang “Marry Me” by Train and proposed during the middle of the song to a surprised Shyanne. Lips touched, glasses clanked, and forever looked so bright.
Joe and Shyanne often joke that they are total opposites, and that is what makes their bond so strong. They balance each other out extremely well. Shy and Joe love traveling together, eating great foods, bowling, spending time with their dog, botching notorious karaoke songs, dancing, staying up too late watching movies, playing tennis, softball, and falling in love over and over again every day.
