Let's face it, life is crazy, and the years fly by faster than we'd like them to. But kids aren't going to be "kids" for very long, so that's why it's so important to get family photos taken.

Sure, you could set up your phone with a self-timer, but wouldn't you rather have a professional photographer guide you through poses and get your little one to laugh naturally? We all know what a struggle that can be, especially with husbands!! LOL!!

I've worked with hundreds of families over the years so I know what works best. My sessions are fun, quick and easy! I know that all you really want is that "one good photo" for your holiday card, and I promise to deliver that along with many more images to treasure forever!

Families

My summers are reserved for weddings, engagements, & senior sessions. But in the spring & fall I hold Mini Family Sessions and give you plenty of dates and times to choose from. I have found that this is the perfect time to get photos taken when it's not incredibly hot or freezing cold.

What to Wear

I know that one of the biggest stresses when preparing for a photo session is deciding what to wear. Lucky for you, I will send a style guide to help you choose outfits that make your family look their very best!

And don't forget to bring the most important accessory to your shoot... YOUR DOG!!! If you have a dog, I always encourage you to bring them along because after all, they are your family too!

The Day of Your Session

Good news! This experience isn't going to be like those stiff family studio photos from back in the day. Instead we are going to venture around, play games and laugh.

I always bring a treasure chest for kids to pick out a toy at the end of of the session because trust me, bribes work! I also have special treats for older kids & parents because everyone needs to be rewarded for giving me their best smiles!

Gallery Delivery

I provide sneak peek photos from your session to hold you over until the full gallery is ready. You can share these images on social media and use as your profile picture too!

Once your full gallery is ready, I will send you a link so you can download all the high-resolution images and treasure them forever. The online gallery is available for 6 months so you'll have plenty of time to view, download, and order prints!

Print Ordering

I'm a huge advocate for printing your images and having something tangible from your session. That's why I offer a variety of products such as albums, canvases, and wallet prints. These items are great for holiday cards, gifts, and keepsakes.

The print lab that I use is IMPECCABLE! I can't guarantee the color or quality through any other vendor. I want to make this process as easy as possible so you can get the products you love!

Print Product Options

1. The majority of my family sessions are done in the spring and fall, so I typically stay in Billings for them. There are many beautiful locations in town that I love going to depending on the season. If you would like to go to Red Lodge for your family session, I can accommodate that for an additional fee.

2. I am a notorious over-shooter, but part of my job is going through and picking out the "best of the best" images and giving you a variety of photos that tell your story! Mini family sessions include 20 final images and full family sessions include 50+ images. Full family sessions are best for groups with more than 6 people.

3. I require a non-refundable deposit to reserve your photo shoot. The remainder of the balance isn't due until the week before your session. If we need to reschedule due to inclement weather, or an illness in the family, it must be scheduled within 30 days of the original session.

4. My summers are booked-up with weddings & engagements so family sessions are done in the spring or early fall. I don't photograph families in the winter because in my experience, kids and cold weather don't mix! They just can't pretend to be warm and I don't want anything to take away from the experience of your session.

5. I have a true-to-life color style. I want you to look at the photos 10 years from now and still love them as much as you did the day you received them. Many photography trends come and go, but my ultimate goal is to provide you with classic photos that will stand the test of time.

6. Yes! The majority of my job is spent at my computer editing photos. When it comes to skin blemishes or fly away hairs, I've got you covered. I'm not a plastic surgeon so I can't make someone lose 50 pounds, but I will enhance my clients' natural beauty to make them look their absolute best!

7. You will get the digital images from your session so you totally can print them wherever. But the print lab that I use is IMPECCABLE! I can't guarantee the color or quality through any other vendor. I want to make this process as easy as possible so you can get the products you love!
