Missoula Wedding – Gina + Adam

Weddings

Believe it or not, this was my first ever Missoula Wedding! Why have I waited so long to shoot in such a beautiful part of Montana?! It was absolutely breath-taking!

Gina & Adam got married at the bride’s family property which was right next to the river and surrounded by luscious green trees. They transformed a pasture into the perfect rustic wedding venue. Guests came from all over the country to celebrate these two becoming husband and wife!

We may have forgotten to get the rings before the ceremony – oops! Luckily the couple’s good friend Greg found & delivered them just in time!

Apparently, there is a tradition in the South called “Burying the Bourbon.” Exactly one month before, the couple buries a bottle of bourbon to ward off rain the day of the wedding. And it actually worked!! There was a crazy storm headed our way and somehow it missed us!!

All of my weddings are incredibly special to me, but when I’ve been friends with the bride for over 20 years, and we’ve supported each other through many ups & downs in life, it just hits a little different.

I’ve been waiting for Gina to find her “Prince Charming” for a long time now. Someone to love her the way that she deserves, and I truly believe that she found that in Adam. He is such a great guy and I have never seen her smile as big as she did on her wedding day!

Gina and her late father always said they would do the chicken dance for the father-daughter dance. So they got the dance party started with all guests joining in. It was such a fun time of the evening!

Many of our AOII soroity sisters from college were at the wedding. So we did our tradition of singing to the bride and groom while giving them roses. It made this celebration so special!

Now that’s what I call a sunset! What a beautiful evening it turned out to be!
