Hayley & Nate’s wedding at Chancey’s Event Center was nothing short of magical! A little spring rain made an appearance immediately after the ceremony. But that didn’t stop us from capturing every unforgettable moment. They are the sweetest couple so we definitely had a great day.

I photographed Hayley’s sister’s wedding a few years ago, so it was fun to work with her family again. They are all seriously the nicest people ever!

Hayley wore a lucky sixpence in her shoe from her grandpa. It is a traditional good luck charm, believed to bring prosperity and good fortune to those who carry it. She also had a piece of her mother’s veil wrapped around her bouquet. I love sentimental details like this!

The couple decided to do a “secret meeting” before the ceremony where they could talk but not see each other. They read letters that they had written for one another. It was a super sweet moment that helped calm the nerves! Hayley describes Nate as genuine, smart, and funny. Nate says Hayley is loving, humorous, and compassionate.

The Bride & Groom’s Love Story

Hayley & Nate met through their parents when they traded phone numbers at a Bingo charity event. Neither of their families knew the other’s very well, however, it worked out perfectly in the end. They started dating and the rest is history!

Nate proposed to Hayley after a wonderful day of fishing on his boat and a fancy dinner that night. He asked her to come to their hobby room once they got home. Nate said “I want to see if this fits” and before Hayley could ask what he was talking about he got down on one knee and said, “This ring. Will you marry me?” It was just the two of them in their home with their cats and it was perfect!

Chancey’s Event Center in Huntley, Montana was the perfect place for Hayley & Nate to get married because it beautifully combines rustic Montana charm with elegant decor. The indoor reception hall is adorned with twinkling chandeliers and soft drapery, creating a romantic atmosphere that needs little extra décor.

The couple had books as their centerpieces which was a creative touch since the bride is a teacher and loves to read!

Meanwhile, their guests played Bingo during cocktail hour. It was a fun way to pass the time while we wrapped up photos. Then the couple entered the reception and it was time to party!
