If rain on a wedding day is good luck, then Mikayla & Markus should have enough luck to last them a lifetime! Even though the weather threw us a few curve balls, it ended up being the perfect Gallatin Gateway Wedding! We even scored a double rainbow at the end of the night!!
The wedding was on the bride’s family property, which was the perfect setting for this rustic & classic wedding. I was blown away when I pulled up to the house because it legit looked like it was a wedding venue! They had everything set up and ready to go. It was time to get Mikayla & Markus married!
The bride’s grandma & the groom’s grandpa both passed away prior to the wedding. I know that it was so hard for the couple not to have their grandparents there in person, but they were definitely there in spirit. There was even a part of the ceremony where the officiant was talking about the grandparents and a crack of thunder rang out through the sky. Everyone got goosebumps!

This was such a great group of people to work with throughout the day! They were all so accomodating and were patient when we had to wait out the mulitple rainstorms. They get a 10 out of 10 for having the best attitudes during photos!
Markus & Mikayla’s Love Story
Markus & Mikayla met a little over 4 years ago through a mutual friend. They love being outdoors with their pups and spending time with family. Markus races stock cars so most summer Friday nights you can find them at the race track. Markus describes Mikayla as beautiful, loving, and reliable. Mikayla said Markus is patient, generous, and trustworthy.
They got engaged during a trip to Philipsburg when visiting some friends. It was a nice sunny January day so they all decided to take the side by side up into the mountains. When Mikayla wasn’t looking, Markus got down on one knee and surprised her with a ring! And the rest as they say is history!
Want to have some extra fun at your reception? Then rent an inflatable bounce house! The kids played on it all night so Mikayla & Markus thought they’d give it a try!
After the parent dances, a giant double rainbow appeared! We couldn’t have planned this any better!
Mikayla & Markus have even more to celebrate later on this year as they welcome their baby that is due in October!! I can’t wait for them to enter this next chapter of their lives!
Last but not least, a big shoutout to all the incredible vendors for making this day perfect!
